Estimated Cost of Attendance

International student costs for the 2023-24 academic year are estimated as follows:
Tuition and fees: $59,500
Housing and meals: $14,000
Books and international health insurance: $2,500
Total Costs: $76,000

International students and their family/sponsor(s) are responsible for funding the cost of attendance that remains after any scholarships, work awards, or other aid have been applied to their account. Contact global@wooster.edu with questions.

Merit Based Scholarships

Both first year and transfer international students are automatically considered for competitive, merit-based scholarships. These awards range from $10,000 to $40,000 and are based on academic talent, personal essay, letters of recommendation, and contributions to their school and local community.

Need Based Financial Aid

International students who wish to be considered for need-based aid must submit the Wooster International Aid Form (IAF). The Wooster IAF is an electronic form found in the students application portal, which can be accessed once the students application has been submitted to Wooster. There is no charge to complete the Wooster IAF.

Consideration for need-based aid is very competitive, so it is important that students complete the Wooster IAF completely and accurately. Incorrect or incomplete information could negatively affect a students application. Students awarded Need-Based financial aid will have that amount included in their Wooster International Scholarship at the time of admission.

Students who have already completed the CSS profile (or similar) are welcome to provide that document in place of the Wooster IAF. However, because the Wooster IAF is free of charge, we do not provide fee waivers for the CSS profile.

Your campus employment is not automatically credited to your student account. Rather, when you begin a campus job, you may choose to have your earnings given to you in the form of a check or applied directly to your tuition for the following semester. More details about on-campus employment are discussed during international student orientation.
